Denver Restaurant Week is here from April 23-May 2! In this post, the staff at EscapeWorks would like to tell you about some of our favorite Restaurant Week deals, as well some of our other favorite places to eat in our lovely town. Try one of these places the next time you go out, whether or not you’re looking to escape a room!
Restaurant Week Offers
Blue Island Oyster Bar + Seafood (Kyle’s Pick)
Our favorite for only $35 per person: Smoked Trout Dip w/Red Onion Marmalade, House-Fried Yukon Potato Chips
Kyle’s got a great deal of kind stories about BIOB’s staff, and their food looks delicious as well! This may get an honorary award for longest RW deal on this post- almost every item on the menu is specially crafted!
Little India (Juan’s favorite)
RW deal: For $25 per person, you receive one appetizer/soup/salad, one entrée, one order of rice, one order of naan bread, and a bottle of wine.
While the Champa Street location isn’t listed on the Restaurant Week site, we’d be remiss if we didn’t include Little India! Their Tikka Masala is one of the best in Denver, and it’s convenient to boot.
Potato Masala Dosa w/Crispy Lentil Crepe, Squash, Peas, Apricots, Sambar Potato, Tamarind Date & Coconut Mint Chutneys
Cherry Hand Pie w/Cherry and Cream Cheese Filling, Candied Ginger Sugar
Linger is a Denver restaurant that respects its history, as it used to be a mortuary. It’s a great place to visit if you’d like a piece of history in your meal! I had to mention Linger on this list after doing some research on our own building… More on that in the next blog post!
I used to make restaurant deliveries across Denver, and I just had to add El Five to the list. While they’re a gorgeous upscale eatery, they remain as kind as any other. The confidence in their cooking is outclassed only by their friendly staff!
Other Staff Picks
Although these eateries have no Restaurant Week offers, they’re close by and hold a special place in our heart. Scroll down for our staff favorites!
What the Pho (Sunny’s Pick)
Our staff has consistently ordered from What the Pho whenever we needed a big meal quick n’ easy. What the Pho holds nothing back, and always fills their bowls to the brim. Each bowl comes with a wide variety of ingredients on the side, offering exactly what you and your pho-freaky friends could ask for.
Menya Noodle Bar (Claire’s Pick)
In the same vein as What the Pho, Menya Noodle Bar is one of the best options for Asian meals, specifically Ramen or Poke. Another great option for quick and easy food during a shopping spree on 16th street!
Tea Cloud (Tobi’s Pick)
Not to create any competition between the two poke places near EW, but Tea Cloud is another great option! If you’d like to splurge and pick up a boba tea while on your next poke kick, we’d definitely suggest Tea Cloud. Be sure to check out their website for some interesting boba options- I’m looking at that brown sugar and chocolate one!
Well, I hope at least one of these options on our list interests you. Go out and try something new- let’s be honest, you probably need an excuse to go out and relax! And while you’re out, why not stop by EscapeWorks and have some fun?
My coworkers and I decided to do some team building while we were in Denver for a conference. They were able to accommodate our rather large group with the pirate-themed room, and our Game Master Abby was fantastic. We escaped with time to spare, and everyone had a fantastic time—several were new to escape rooms altogether, and enjoyed it so much they went back to do another one later in the week!

We've done quite a few escape rooms and this one was well put together. The decorating effort in Vampire Slayer was quite good, and Brian was doing a fantastic job coordinating a few full rooms and a constantly buzzing door of new groups rapidly coming in. The clues are automatically given instead of asked for, but they didn't spoon feed them too us. It was only when we were clearly missing the mark. All components of the room worked and were fairly challenging but not impossible to solve. We also really appreciate that this one allows groups with strangers! It's perfect for couples that don't want to try it alone but can't get a group together. Thanks to Brian and Cole we had a great experience!

Absolutely loved! The theme was so cool (pirate themed) and the puzzles were so fun! I had some friends in town so there were 6/7 of us and there was enough for us to divine and conquer! Abby our host was so sweet and super helpful, will be back again!

Wyatt was an awesome game master. He gave us a fair chance at solving all the clues without giving us too many hints to spoil it. He was very kind and courteous. The entire staff was great and the room was super challenging and fun.

Our game master Celeste was amazing! She monitored our progress and made sure we didn't abandon clues when we were on the right path, but gave us plenty of space to explore and ponder. The room itself was well constructed with plenty of objects to fiddle with that meant nothing and plenty of fixed items for vibes. The puzzles were challenging without being overwhelming.

I've tried 3 of the 5 rooms, and so far they've all been fantastic! The puzzles are challenging but not unsolvable. Even the casino heist, which gave us the most trouble, was so fun and had some puzzles i hadn't seen in other escape rooms. I've had Wyatt as a game master twice and Austen once, and both did a fabulous job running the game!

Had a great time today, we did the speakeasy, it was very fun and the puzzles weren’t neither too difficult nor too easy which made the experience a lot better. Our game master Brian was great and helped us on the way whenever we got too carried away. Overall a great experience and would come back!
