Whether it’s your first or your 20th date with your sweetheart, Denver has a little bit of everything when it comes to the dating scene. It’s even been named a top 10 best city for singles by Forbes Magazine.
Here are a few of our favorite spots to hit on date night.
Grizzly Rose
You’ve graduated from the first date… Dinner and drinks have been done… You’re looking for something new and exciting in Denver. We recommend a night of dancing at Grizzly Rose! The venue is a notable hot spot for country artists, but it’s also a great place to learn to line dance or two-step. Here’s a bonus for you, too: Wednesday night dance lessons are free! So go ahead, down a whiskey, loosen up and get out there. Find more information on more advanced dance lessons here!
Boozy Movie Night
Denver takes its craft beer culture seriously, so it’s no surprise that we expect our movie theaters to carry our favorite brews. You don’t have to look any further for a laid back night than the Mayan Theater, located at 110 Broadway, in the Baker District. The bar features a happy hour from 3-6 p.m, and the last call is 15 minutes after the final showing starts. This theater is Denver’s place to be when it comes to indie and off-beat movies you likely won’t find in major chain cinemas.
Alamo Drafthouse in nearby Littleton is also a great place to hit for a beer and show. It’s located in Aspen Grove.
“Escape” from the city and enjoy some nature
Lookout Mountain
The city life can get to be a bit too overwhelming at times. Take a date away from downtown and head out to Lookout Mountain. It’s a bit of a drive, 20 minutes from the heart of Denver, but the sweeping views from the Continental Divide to Denver’s skyline is well worth it. You’ll be sitting at around 7,500 feet. Bring a picnic or grab a bite to eat — or beer — in Golden on the way up. Yelp reviewers recommend Abejas at 807 13th Street. Order a tequila cocktail.
Take exit 256 going westbound on I-70 and turn right to get to Lookout Mountain. Highway signs will guide you from there for the perfect Denver date.
Ace Eat Serve
It’s okay to make date night a little competitive, right? Ace Eat Serve at the corner of 17th and Pennsylvania will not disappoint. The vibrant Asian-inspired eatery features a menu of bento boxes and ramen and plenty of ping-pong tables. After dinner grab a drink from one of the city’s best bartenders at Ace Eat Serve, as named by local culture magazine 5280. He has created a drink menu for everyone with juices, house made sodas and Asian beers in addition to the quirky cocktail menu. Then, hit the tables.
Selfie Museum
At this museum, the visitors are the masterpiece! If you want some cute pictures to remember your date, this is the place to go. With many colorful sets and fun props, the possibilities are infinite- from a ball pit with telephones, to a room made of mirrors. It is the first and only Instagram pop-up museum in Denver and has an astonishing 4.5 stars on Yelp! You can find this fun business right off of 16th Street Mall and Stout Street!
There isn’t a lack offun date ideas in Denver. You’ll be sure to impress and have some fun whether it’s adventure you’re looking for or a quiet night after work. Of course, nothing is more fun, in our opinion, than our escape rooms! For more information or recommendations, feel free tocontact us.
This was my and my friend's first time doing an escape room and we felt cooler than Indiana Jones. We felt so good in fact that we got lunch and immediately returned to complete another one. Absolutely recommend this to anyone who's never tried it before, we had Cooper and Abby as our Gamemasters and they were awesommmmeee. TRY THIS PLACE

The Spookeasy was an awesome challenge and super fun! We barely escaped thanks to our fabulous game master Serenity - dropping just a few key hints at the perfect time. Whoever designed this room had us puzzling, jumping and laughing the whole time! We love EscapeWorks rooms and hope to come back again to try another room.

My wife and I just finished the pirate-themed room, and we had an amazing time. It was just the two of us, and overall I would recommend at least four people in this room, because there is a lot going on, and difficult puzzles often benefit from extra sets of eyes. We did not finish in time, but our game master Cole was very nice and helpful, and actually allowed us some extra time since nobody was scheduled immediately after us.
The puzzles were very well designed, and involved a mixture of classic lock-and-key with some environmental interactivity and technology thrown in. Overall, this was an excellent experience. We do escape rooms just about everywhere we go, and this one was top-tier.

Great experience! We went with a group of 7 for team building and tried the Speakeasy room. Serenity/Randy was amazing, she really added to the overall immensely enjoyable experience. Can't recommend this place enough. 10/10, make it an 11/10 for Randy!

We absolutely loved this escape room! We did Vampire Hunter, which is their newest room and had amazing theming. Our game master, Sean, was the absolute best! He helped guide us when it was needed but was great about keeping us immersed in the game and not providing too many hints. Would highly recommend!

Had a small amount of time to spend in Denver before needing to head to the airport. This place was amazing and super fun! It was about an hour experience, which was the perfect amount of time! The staff, especially Serenity and Wyatt, were awesome, super kind, and incredibly fun! Did the Vampire Hunter room and it was super interesting!
