Fun date ideas around Denver

Denver Selfie Museum Escape Room

Whether it’s your first or your 20th date with your sweetheart, Denver has a little bit of everything when it comes to the dating scene. It’s even been named a top 10 best city for singles by Forbes Magazine.

Here are a few of our favorite spots to hit on date night.

Grizzly Rose

You’ve graduated from the first date… Dinner and drinks have been done… You’re looking for something new and exciting in Denver. We recommend a night of dancing at Grizzly Rose! The venue is a notable hot spot for country artists, but it’s also a great place to learn to line dance or two-step. Here’s a bonus for you, too: Wednesday night dance lessons are free! So go ahead, down a whiskey, loosen up and get out there. Find more information on more advanced dance lessons here!

Boozy Movie Night

Denver takes its craft beer culture seriously, so it’s no surprise that we expect our movie theaters to carry our favorite brews. You don’t have to look any further for a laid back night than the Mayan Theater, located at 110 Broadway, in the Baker District. The bar features a happy hour from 3-6 p.m, and the last call is 15 minutes after the final showing starts. This theater is Denver’s place to be when it comes to indie and off-beat movies you likely won’t find in major chain cinemas.

Alamo Drafthouse in nearby Littleton is also a great place to hit for a beer and show. It’s located in Aspen Grove.

LookoutMountain

“Escape” from the city and enjoy some nature

Lookout Mountain

The city life can get to be a bit too overwhelming at times. Take a date away from downtown and head out to Lookout Mountain. It’s a bit of a drive, 20 minutes from the heart of Denver, but the sweeping views from the Continental Divide to Denver’s skyline is well worth it. You’ll be sitting at around 7,500 feet. Bring a picnic or grab a bite to eat — or beer — in Golden on the way up. Yelp reviewers recommend Abejas at 807 13th Street. Order a tequila cocktail.

Take exit 256 going westbound on I-70 and turn right to get to Lookout Mountain. Highway signs will guide you from there for the perfect Denver date.

Ace Eat Serve

It’s okay to make date night a little competitive, right? Ace Eat Serve at the corner of 17th and Pennsylvania will not disappoint. The vibrant Asian-inspired eatery features a menu of bento boxes and ramen and plenty of ping-pong tables. After dinner grab a drink from one of the city’s best bartenders at Ace Eat Serve, as named by local culture magazine 5280. He has created a drink menu for everyone with juices, house made sodas and Asian beers in addition to the quirky cocktail menu. Then, hit the tables.

Selfie Museum

At this museum, the visitors are the masterpiece! If you want some cute pictures to remember your date, this is the place to go. With many colorful sets and fun props, the possibilities are infinite- from a ball pit with telephones, to a room made of mirrors. It is the first and only Instagram pop-up museum in Denver and has an astonishing 4.5 stars on Yelp! You can find this fun business right off of 16th Street Mall and Stout Street!

There isn’t a lack of fun date ideas in Denver. You’ll be sure to impress and have some fun whether it’s adventure you’re looking for or a quiet night after work.
